So I load my daughter up in the Tacoma to go get me and my wife some food(she's home writing her master care plan for nursing school). I run by the bank to make a deposit, then head over to grab her food, then on to get me some food. I just finish ordering at the window and my phone rings, I look at the caller id and it is my wife calling. I answer the phone and she sounds hysterical, she goes on to tell me that two guys just broke into the house. Needless to say that I darted out of the drive through and headed home as fast as I safely could with my daughter in the car. Flying down public streets flashing my nice bright 55w hid's so no one pulls out in front of me. My wife told me that she jumped out our bedroom window when she saw them going in the back door. I pull up in the driveway and the back door is completely smashed in. I jump out and go in through the bedroom window that my wife had came out. I grab my gun and make my way through the house only to find that they jetted before I got there.

Turns out that there was a getaway driver parked across the street and when he saw my wife run out of the house he started honking and the guys that were in the house took off. They were only in the house for about a couple min from what my wife said but it was long enough for them to snatch my laptop that was sitting on the couch in the living room.

I am extremely happy that my wife got out and they were not looking for anything other than possessions but I am so pissed that I was not able to greet them at the door, or through the door for that matter.

Off to the range this weekend to get the wife more comfortable with the M&P. Then I will be trading my Kimber Eclipse 1911 for a FNH SLP 12 gauge(better suited for home protection).

Glad that your wife got out fine, I hope those Pieces of Shits die in a crash or go into the wrong house and get shot.

Well, I know they saw my TV and all the electronic equipment so if they do decide to try their luck again and I am here, they will not be leaving on their feet.

Yes, it is very shitty. We all have to leave the house tomorrow so that is all I will be thinking about is those little Fucks breaking back in... I know that I will no longer be leaving my wife here while I run an errand. She is going or we are all going.

Hella good avatar you have as well. Yea, I wish I would have been about 5 min earlier. Then I wouldn't have to worry about them breaking back into the house another day.

I hate thieves with a passion. I must say that living in fear at home is no way to live. If you don't feel safe leaving family at home while you go out... maybe it's time to move to different location.

I hate to hear that this happened. What part of town are you located. There was a string of home/ apt invasion robberies along McKinney Ave. last year. They finally caught them after a few months.

That sucks man but glad your wifey, you and your daughter are good to go. Definately invest in a nice boomstick man, I'm in the same boat with you; they won't be leaving on their feet. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

get your wife a snubby 410, or a 20 gauge. she can shoot that over and over with no kick and it still puts enough pepper out the muzzle to ruin anyones day from 10 feet.
i got my wife one because the 12gauge is too heavy for her to shoot multiple times in succsesion. she can empty a 410 and the 20 gauge with no problems from the hip.

both are "teenager" guns so they are light and shorter barrels just like what we shot ducks with when we were young.

glad to hear you are all safe.

the bad guys are in my prayers- like that country song. i pray your brakes go out running down a hill...ahaha
