    Just tossing this out there. Assuming it's open, going in on the trail that starts at the end of Eagle Lakes Rd has a lower risk of damage with fewer hidden obstacles. There's really only one rock gardeny spot that I recall. You bypass the sketchiest parts (and ice) of the usual way in and you get to cross the river just upstream from "the spot." Water was pretty low back in November, so I would think it's still pretty low.

    Yep. It's a public road through private property. It's a cool little trail. Nothing particularly challenging. I think it might be a bit faster too. It intersects with the road across from the beach we camped at last June.

    A = pi (r)(r).

    So a 6 ft long 4" pvc pipe would hold: 3.14 x 2 x 2 x 72(because inches) = 904.32. Divided by twelve giving us our cubic feet) = 75.36

    7.43 c/ft per gallon.

    75.36 / 7.43 = 10.14 gallons.

    Enough for a couple of quick showers and dish water.

    6" pvc would be 22.82 gallons at the same length.

    It's cool. Release the nerd comments. I'm armored enough for them. :militarypress:

    You're missing the cylinder height in your formula, which is the length of the tube.

    The proper formula is V =πr^2h.

    Nerd! Also, 144 cubic inches to the cubic ft, not 12. Divide all those results by 12 again. :(
