When I was single I lived in a small apartment, neighbor upstairs would come home around 2am from the bar and sing Garth Brooks songs...first night I went up there and told him politely that I worked in the am and tone it down...about the 3rd night in a row of this I just took a broom and hit the ceiling...couple days later the guy moved out. I dont know if it was coincidence or I caused it. Not to mention other stories of different tenants...

 

I now am the proud owner of a monument to laziness bolted to my roof.

 

But you never told us what (or who ) the guy was drilling...

 

I’ve had to phone the police on a noise disturbance before. Mind you, the county I live in has a 24/7 noise ordinance.

I think I was more livid that the only thing done was the cop turning his lights on in front of the house and driving back the other way. The music was turned up even louder right after and my sleep wasn’t corrected for a week.

I only learned later that I could ask for a supervisor # to call back and report.

I’m a very quiet, peace loving guy, but there are certain things that I ask not to be f—-ed with. Sleep is one of them.

A friend of mine asked for Negra Mordida beer in Mexico once when he wanted Negra Modelo. The Mexicans laughed, that means Black Death.

 

I had a problem with a neighbor's barking dog. Called him "it's not my dog". Barking continued.
Police finally sent the dog catcher. Dog catcher says "dogs will bark sometimes".
I hand him a copy of the ordinance. Dog catcher says "Why you're absolutely right, any barking that bothers anyone day or night is illegal."
Me "now you can get to work".
I despise lazy leos who lie to me.

 

Oh man, give that guy his $25 ticket for a barking dog.

 

Neighbor called me and asked me to withdraw my complaint. I said "NO". There was no more barking.

 

Fuck them and their sign. This is still America, and my freedom is not required to bow to your silly religion.
