It's 45° here. Feels better than the 20° from yesterday

Running is supposed to warm you up. Maybe you were just power walking [IMG] :notsure:

Those drop in liners will scratch up bed & trap water to accelerate rust. REALLY suggest you go with a spray in liner & sell off that drop in.
    It's why my Tacoma needs a new bed & my F250 didn't.

F150 = Aluminum bed. It'll just wear the paint. Per the Chebby commercials, the holes come from dropping tool boxes into the bed.

Yup, that's why I wanted a drop in. I think they're tougher than a spray on and only downside is rusting out the bed, but that can't happen with an aluminum bed.

The ram interior on the new ones looks very nice, and their ride is hands down the cushest of all trucks. But DAMN are those front ends ugly as hell.

edit: does your SMC have anything to do with st.mikes in VT at all?

Peanut Gallery question for everyone here.

In the spring I'm planning on doing new tires finally for the wheels I've got in boxes in my cellar. I'm also planning on swapping my 3G Off-Road wheels to my snow tires. That will leave me with a set of OEM 3G tires with like 10,000 miles on them and a set of 2G TRD Off-Road wheels in decent shape.

Do I have the 3G tires mounted on the 2G wheels and sell them as a bolt-on set (sans-TPMS) or do I sell them piecemeal? I figure that I'm paying ~$100 to have them mounted and balanced which eats at any profit I get out of the set, but do I make more selling them together than I would as a set of tires and a set of wheels? I figure whatever I get for them will go back into the truck fund, but I'm trying to figure out the best way to maximize return as well as not having stuff sitting around too long.

What would you do if you were me?

Had a under the gunwale drop in when i had my Chebby. Used to pop it out and give it a spot check once or twice a year.
Never had an issue with rust, water or worn paint.
As long as the drain holes were clear, no problem.

Whenever I've sold wheels and tires, they've always went more quickly when they are seperated. If they were stock you could keep them together, but since you have the nicer wheels I wouldn't. Someone wanting those wheels, probably has a tire in mind, and yours might not be it. If you have all the time in the world, then sell them together if it's easier in the end, but if you want a quick sale I'd split them up.

p.s. You're original truck is absolutely beautiful, what a shame that got taken out.

So I found out why attaching the CB to the rear of the console isn't a good idea when I attempted to flip the rear seats down. So, I moved the radio to here in a spare console I picked up from our favorite recycler (Rob).

They’re not that bad, there are still drain holes under the liner. Depends on how long you keep the truck also. I’m on my third truck with a plastic liner, none of them have rusted out or even shown signs of it. I’ve had tonneaus or caps on them though.

If they’re going to be separated, I wouldn’t pay to have them remounted. I’d sell them separate but offer a discount if they sell together.
