I'd like my truck to see 250k miles, but it only has 36k now and I average about 8k/year on it... It'll take more than 26 years at that rate!

It was bought with cash and I set aside a reasonable pmt each month. In 10 years I'll have $36k (ignoring interest) set aside, so that's likely when it gets replaced. If I keep up the 8k/yr pace, she'll be a 15 year old truck with just 115k miles on her.

Depends...on gas prices. If gas gets over $6 per gallon & stays w/i $1 of this price then it's Toyota Yaris time!

I bought mine outright, used with 218k on it. I've had if for 6 months and I've put about 1200 miles on it. If it makes it to 250k, and the mileage rate stays the same, I'll have mine about another 13 years. :)

She needs a little tlc, and I'm going to do some modding, but there are absolutely no signs of the engine dieing.

I thought about getting a trike as well, or something similar, but Colorado weather makes that impractical.

I can't tell from the pic, is that a brush guard or a new bumper in your signature pic? I like it.

For ever is a long time, however since we just bought our 06 and it only has 46K on it and I am 62 years old. It should be for ever!

I might trade it in for a 4x4 years from now unless I can afford to keep both.

I work 3-11:30pm. I've never been able to get a stable sleep cycle with this shift though.

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
Keeping this one for a while longer yet...I do want to get a 4x4 Tacoma as soon as financially feasible.
