I feel like you’d need a full white van for how tall you are

You’re a little more brave than me on that matter. I’ve only let three females drive mine, and they all let me do dirty stuff with them.

I started off saying only one, but then I thought about it for a second.

Well I got my hatch. Scared me when I got there because the entire roof is caved in but somehow the hatch was untouched. One tiny little dent on the top and that’s it. Now the fun part of getting yelled at by the wife for buying another one.

Well just did the timing belt and water pump in 4.5 hours start to finish with a local member. Pretty stoked it all came together with no issues at all. The crankshaft pulley literally fell off the crank when we took the bolt off, gotta love a Cali car.

Nice. It's not a bad job really. I did mine over a day, but I replaced everything while I was in there. I love having no rust, I couldn't imagine working on a rusty car...

Woot just picked up both OEM LBJ’s for the 4runner for $155 shipped off Amazon. Got to love warehouse deals.

OEM? That would be a steal.

FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU!!!!

Put my new hatch on and despite visually looking perfect and clean, it somehow is tweaked. Opened and closed perfectly on the donor truck but now it is way to the left. Going to try different brackets tomorrow and see if anything can get it aligned. I swear I can’t catch a break lately with my truck.

You sure there is no more adjustment left in those brackets on both the door side and car side?

Definitely try new brackets. I had a similar problem with my drivers door.

We loosened the body side bolts and tried adjusting but still not enough. I’m thinking when the 4runner hit it’s roof the hatch didn’t get touched but the body pulled on it to make it tweak. I used the brackets from the donor, so maybe using my good brackets will be better.

Do the dealerships by you guys have outrageous prices? My local dealer is horrible on parts prices. Called today about a new female belt buckle and they wanted $65. Checked online and it’s $20. I’m fine with a little mark up but 3x as much. Sucks when I need a part quickly. Wonder what the $1 LBJ bolts are going to cost.
