I mounted a shovel and axe in the bed under my Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover using t slot mounts, bolts, and some sheet metal.

 

Do they slide? Like can you move them?

 

If you loosen the bolt they will slide anywhere you want them to in the rail.

 

Was just thinking of doing some mounts for the rail. Can you send a pic of the hook off the rail?

Yes, I bolted the Quikfist to the t slot which does slide into the rail.

Where can one find that headlight side reflector decal? That is badass.

 

What went wrong with them? Could you rebuild and get them going again, they are pricey to loose after a year. Icon customer service is dog shit. I had a problem with my uca's and they wouldn't sell me a bushing to fix them. Kept sending me to vendors who refused to sell me the bushing either but would sell me a $150 kit I didn't need, I literally had 3 different dealers (included sdhq) send me some stupid ball joint kit even though they told me they were sending me the uca rubber bushings, literally read them the part number I needed, they would confirm, then send me something totally different. Icon refuses to help because they won't deal with their customers, only the dealers.

I sold them and called JT at baja kits, he hooked it up and I'll never buy icon stuff again.

p.s. Fox customer service is 10 times worse than icon.

 

That's interesting. I was working with Adrien at icon and he was great. Super responsive and helpful. Mine was more engineering/setup and fine tuning questions but he was awesome, brought the engineers into the mix and got me taken care of. As far as I know, bushings for ucas aren't sold separately, only part of a complete rebuild which is kind of stupid.

 

Yeah doesn't make any real sense at all to do both. But, what would make sense and be very functional is to do the flush mounts, wire them separately, have one Amber and one white. If you do the pros the output will be more than sufficient and the white can still be tied into your reverse light circuit. Very clean, very practical and very functional. I'm not one to add things just to add things. Just end up with a bunch of unnecessary stuff and a truck that looks tacky bc it has too much going on. Keep it clean. Just my 2 pennies

Suspension is ALWAYS my first major mod on everything.
Icon customer service has been stellar. I called and emailed to complain about ON road ride quality even though I knowing bought a high performance OFF road suspension system.
Icon offered one free revalve and even offered to convert them to extended travel free of charge.
I love the Icons when I’m off-roading. I don’t like them as much as I hoped for on the street. Just wish they had clickers - I’d add rebound damping and reduce compression damping for the street.

Yes, I have been working with Adrian too and expect some response after this weekend. Now I’m actually planning on buying a new coil-over (hopfully with a good price) and rebuild the leaking one too. It’s too long to have the Tacoma waiting for a rebuild. Not sure how he will treat me with the new one or the rebuild as per price. 7000 easy miles and 1 1/2 year is too soon for this to happen.

They will definitely be on a separate switch, I don’t want to blind people in town. I agree they’d function better but don’t know if I could do an amber one getting the midnight pros. I decided on those so they aren’t as noticeable in the bumper. Now to decide if I should cut into the painted part or into the plastic near the license plate. Cutting makes me nervous
