I’ve been wondering if the BAMF LCA skids for a 1st gen taco would work on my 91....they’re the most similar lca’s. No one really makes ifs parts for the old trucks anymore. It’s SAS or GTFO nowadays lol

Get some cardboard and mock some up and then cut them out and weld them or have someone weld them for you, not a whole lot to them really!

Shock relocate isn't needed with the new setup you're after?

    Then this makes sense :)

Get a few batteries, some 4ga or heavier cable, a couple C clamps, and you're good!

Tons of ways around that. Probably tons of mobile welders that would weld them up cheap for you if you come by their house. We have guys on here that can weld them up for you as well! You can check with your local vocational school as well, Dad uses his local one all the time to get farm implements and various other things welded up, gives them some real world experience. I think they normally ask for a donation or a very very small fee.

    No it needs different holes
Meaning the bed would soon look like Swiss cheese

Maybe you can sell your whole current setup to someone looking to do what you have now and then swipe their bed? At the same time I guess you would just need a inner bed (?) and you could do glass and have it painted to match. To much for my little brain to think about.

Fabricators have a tendency to cut more than they need to save time and move their job along

So I'd rather just let them destroy this one figuring out where they need/want all the holes and then tidy it up all with smaller holes better

Just wanna tell you guys how stand up of a company @switch-pros is!!!

I sent them the burnt up unit that Toyota fried
They inspected and tested it and found what we all thought to be absolutely correct. Toyota jump started my truck and sent a reverse polarity charge surging into the trucks unit and fried the solid state device!
So they are working with me to get a new unit in my hands and are going to contact Toyota on my behalf to get the issue resolved.

    Stand up company
    Stand up product
    And even better than anything
Even though the unit failed it still protected all of my accessories and after the unit was removed from the truck nothing else needed repair

It's great to work with a company that helps you with your projects and treats you like family the whole way

    Solid review!

But...how the hell was there a reversed charge sent into the truck?! Why did they jump start your truck when it was in for a driveline recall? (completely unrelated to anything electrical)

Cause they didn't work on it 90% of the time they had it
So it sat in place for 2 weeks without moving or starting and all the turd gen batteries are pretty weak.
My assumption is new guy was told to go jump start my truck
He had no idea what he was doing and then switched the cables on the jump box and pressed go

NICE.... I'm sure he never brought it up either so as to not get his ass spanked by the service manager. :puke:
