AR-15 BS Thread

I want to have the rail,lower, and upper painted either in some kind of campoflauge. Republic rifle in Laguna Beach has some cool work. I just don’t have the talent to do it myself with duracoat.

 

Question, does the forward assist do anything on a 22lr conversion? I'm assuming no, but I've never used a 22lr AR.

I think it depends if the bolt has the serrations or not. If it does the yes, FA works the same.

Did you see the Spinta just release a new 9mm bolt with serrations on it for FA

 

I didn't. Going to their website now to see.

 

If you have to jam a 9mm or 22LR round into chamber, you shouldn't be shooting that particular round....

 

True but still pointing out the fact they added a new bolt that had it

 

So 22lr does have forward assist then or is that just that CMMG isn't using a slick slide upper?

Finding a dedicated 22lb full upper I want is kinda a PITA. Nordic Components is the only one I found with a stainless barrel and of course they're sold out.

Here’s my new AR15 that I built chambered in 7.62x39. Haven’t test fired it yet since I’ve been busy:

Lol, military so I moved from a house to an apartment and had to get rid of my garage work bench. Decided to just mount it on the desk and surprisingly it held up even from the torquing of the barrel nut. I had to repLace hardware and position it differently though to even out the force throughout the desk so it doesn’t cave in.

 

Finished the AR9!

Had to take a dremel to the handgaurd to make the front mbus fit but a little blueing with fix that

 

This is my build. Way more fun to build my own than to go buy one.

Can't use my work email, fast way to get fired... I tried emailing them but they wouldn't work with me.

 

No loss. I found M4Carbine.net to be a more informative bunch. More door kickers and no Fudds. I tended to read more than post, since they can be a little condescending towards non-professionals.

 

We def need a range day.
