I meet with the cabinet maker on Monday and he has a basic layout (that can be modified) and we’ll go from there.

 

I'm excited for you after what you've been through. I'd go nuts on kitchen layout and design. I'm so f'ing picky though it would take forever.

This isn't bad. Notice not very dark below, and tons of light. I don't think many buyers would find this offensive a decade from now. Oh yeah, fuck corner cabinets adn lazy susans. Do a 45 if you must, or avoid altogether.

 

I have some nice Corion counter top scraps that I would like to square up and bevel the edges so I can use them for food cutting boards. What do I need to use to cut this stuff? and do the edges? ....I know I need to also wear a mask.

 

I cut some a few years back with a circular saw with a fine-tooth carbide blade with 80 to 100 teeth being ideal. I also cut it from the back side. I did not touch the edges but I’m sure you could use a router.

i checked out the link @wilcam47 provided and got my answer. I will post a picture of the finished product. What made me think of it was when I had my counter tops installed the installer cut the scraps from the sink hole into two pieces and made me two cutting boards that match my counter top. I think I might make a chess board while I am at it too. Just thinking of stuff to do when the weather clears up.

The blending of acrylic polymers basically plastic in the counter top won’t melt under high heat?

I think it would melt at high temps say above 180/200 degrees.....

Heat resistance: the material is heat resistant up to 100 °C (212 °F), but can be damaged by excess heat. DuPont recommends the use of trivets when the material is installed in kitchens.

or can cut into squares for coffee/cup/mugs...trivets...
