Sounds like you're a lucky guy! Or something like that. I might have it backwards, she's the lucky one?

I like the 40, even though the limp-waisted girly-men mostly carry 9mm these days. :bananadead:

Main carry gun is a full size M&P40 with laser grips and a Surefire XC1. I have 6 handguns in 40, by far the most of the handguns in my collection. 9 and 357 are tied for 2nd with 3 each....

And of course wdfw last year changed the min pistol caliber to .40 for hunting. Im pissed. No .40 in my safe. Might have to do something about that.

This is BS. I've definitely shot a coyote with my Glock 19 behind the front shoulder that dropped it pretty freakin' quick

Maybe a good excuse to buy another handgun....? :D

Doesn’t apply to small game. And actually I don’t see the change to .40 minimum in the latest hunting regs posted on WDFW’s website. Shows 4” minimum barrel length but .24 caliber centerfire is still there

Yeah small game anything goes. I didnt fully specify it was just in firearm restricted GMUs that for big game they changed to a .40/10mm min restriction. Other GMU's the .24 min applies. IE - GMU 454 - 9mm semi-auto pistol is a no. However if I cross the raging river into GMU 460 I can use it there for big game as I'm no longer in a fire arm restricted unit. Page 88. Semi auto pistols prior where not legal in firearm restricted GMUS, only revolvers where I believe. Now they allow both semi auto and revolver but .40/10mm is the minimum. I hit 454 since it's practically my backyard if my Eastside trip is a bust. Been wanting a Ruger Super RedHawk in .44mag 9.5" with scope for a while also. Shot my deer this year in 454 unrestricted late season.

My dad has a few 40's which is why Im looking into getting one too. I have everything to reload for it due to my dad lol.

My summer carry is a Xds in 45. Not the most enjoyable thing to shoot for fun. Also have the Sig p226 in 9 that gets carried from time to time too

Had a glock 20....only gun ive ever sold. Just wasnt comfortable at all in my hands.
I do have a RIA 1911 in 10mm though. Thing is fun to shoot
