So in the near future I will be getting my sport hood in and taking it to have it painted. I am also wanting to get rid of the chrome on the rear bumper at that time, so my question is should I have the chrome end caps painted to match the truck (quicksand) or should I have them painted matte black?I have a lot of black going on the truck over the period of the year so I don't think I can go wrong either way, but I am having a hard time making a choice so I respect you all enough to see what you guys think....Thanks in advance for your input!!

Black. Perfect accent color for QS.
Color matched is too much.. looks like the sport.

You got something red and nasty looking on your passenger side back glass. Might want to grab a razor blade and get it off before it causes an infection. Oh, and go with black.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Its going to be tough to paint the chrome. You might want to consider etching it and powder coat. Black by the way!

Planning on getting mine black. But I also added black vinyl inlays on my badges and tailgate to get it ready.

It’ll probably be a while for me doing the switch. I still have other priorities on top of end caps:
    -Dog seat cover
    -Ham radio
-Led light kit (finally rode at sunset in the woods today, I barely could see anything with the stock bulbs)
    -better skid plate
    -etc

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
I beg your pardon -- all SR5's do not come with black --mine came with and still has chrome. They will be changed out in the future

Been wanting to paint my QS bumper to black. Considered chrome, but figured my truck has no chrome other than the badges. Will eventually paint my bumper & badges black

Man that sure does look nice, I had the option when buying to get the color matched but it had so many other options that I could care less about tha I chose it wasn't worth the extra money.

I suspected this would only make me realize what I already knew, which is I can't go wrong either way because I'd love both.I also spoke to a guy about trading fender flares for factory paint matched ones, so many options and yet such a hard choice. Regardless the chrome has got to go!I believe I i did color matched I'd go ahead and get the color matched fender flares also at that point.

What do you mean front bumper? Was it not factory color matched? It's so funny how we all always seem to want what we don't have no matter what we have.

Haha the only infection that'll cause is if you get on front of what that sticker represents....

Very true I may look into that actually!!
Too bad you live where you do or we could just swap with each other!!...

    Aah got ya.

Not a fan of their new stuff. I have several of the older guns when they still built stuff out of metal. 91,93,94,SP89, P7M13,P7M10,770,PSG-1. I am sure there are others, but I forget.
