So I understand the newer trd sports have a brake limited slip and the off road has the locker. So my question is, in 4wd is the off road an open differential until they engage rear locker or do they also have a brake limited slip?

    Sorry for the newbie question.

    Thanks.

They both have ABS driven “electronic” LSDs. The off road has everything the sport has for off road traction plus the selectable locker and ATRAC which is simulated front and rear lockers using ABS. If it has the auto the off road also has Hill start assist and downhill decent control.

Full Alpine audio system. Everything ran off alpine amps. K&N cold air system, magnaflow cat back exhaust, adjustable electronic engine fan, many free mods. I'm forgetting stuff. More to come. Get rid of that stupid rear lsd diff and drum brakes!!! 9th Toyota truck I've owned. Love it.
Yea, I been through a lot of reading research and fast back road driving/on too.. speed limit only then. Check my truck if wanna. But i a 2011 trd sport. 4 door. There's not a lot of difference. (I' not Toyota everything gut, but I learn did a ot of in here.. Sport, ya wanna make sure it has towing package, 4.0l v6. Want the 5 speed automatic or 6 speed manual transmission. If you can find a good one. First thing I did, and stand by it. Put a good quaity, adjustable electronic temp controlld fan kit , peracool a good on ,check out www.lce performance. Com. Ya get. They're so much better, more hp, quite, get powerful air draw. Their the bomb. They both have shitty rear drum brakes, with new stupid electronic lsd rear diff. The TRD off-road has lil softer rear suspension, a tack option, hill assistant, and maybe has 6 speed manual transmission!!!! Definitely get 4.0l with at east 5 speed automatic transmission. 4 door. Check out free mods on here. Of course I am only a man...

This that and the other thing.
I think he meant something like this:

done a lot of research and also done a lot of back road driving as well as on road driving. check out my truck if u would like but I have a 2011 DC Sport. not much difference between the two, doesn't know a lot about Toyota but have learnt a lot on TW. if u buy a sport make sure it has the towing package. 4L v6. i recommend trying to get a 5 speed auto or a 6 speed manual if u can find a good one. Put a good quality, adjustable electronic temperature controlled fan kit. for a good one check out www.lceperformance.com. it will make a big difference, you will get more HP and they are more powerful and you will get more air flow. they are awesome. both trucks have shity rear drum breaks. The TRD off-road has little bit softer rear suspension, A TRAC option, hill assist, and maybe has 6 speed manual transmission!! Definitely get 4.0l with at least the 5 speed automatic transmission and 4 doors. Check out free mods on here. Of course I am only a man so I obviously want as much power as I can get.

Ok English aside, he says get a 5 speed auto or the 6 speed manual. Is there another choice? Grammar is not his only problems.
