Powdercoating is very nice and all, but not indistructable/unscratchable. And once damaged, impossible to touch up correctly.

Consider using a bedliner instead. It should hold up to twigs and flying squirrels just fine, and be easy to touch up if needed.

How is bedliner easier to touch up than powder coat? Satin black Rustoleum blends pretty well with the powder coat we use. Also, bedliner has a tendency to rip off if you drag your skid across anything.

TRD skid plate is 1/4" thick aluminum. I won't ever do any real serious wheeling so decided to skip the extra weight of the steel plate. And that puny little gravel guard they put on from the factory is OK for a car but not for a truck like these. One issue is that aluminum will gall instead of sliding over rocks like the steel will. All in all, I would probably buy the Mobtown 3/16" steel plate now. They didn't have it then. The plate is there to protect the undersurface components. I don't much see why lettering of any kind makes any sense.

That’s odd. It should work. Shoot me an email with your zip code and the items you want and I’ll check. It shouldn’t be much. Your zip code looks like New England area.
