Happened to me 2 weeks ago and it was super awkward because the kid who asked me that was looking for some. I was like, "sorry brah, I'm just fat" :notsure:

Well, max week was a success. Official maxes for the next 3 weeks are:

    squat: 415
    bench: 340
    deadlift: 500
    overhead press: 195

So far I'd say the program is working. We'll see what happens on the next max week in a month

Fuck yeh. 500 is 500 though, just as long as you don't use straps...:boink:. How did/do you like 5/3/1? What is it like trying to fit lifting in with newborn twins? 'Grats, by the way. How is school?

Saw @dwalden2 pulling some serious weight on the snap, too. Nice job brah.

    No straps...only chalk

So far I love 5/3/1. As long as the strenf gains continue, I'll keep doing it.

Lifting with kids so far isn't that bad because my wife is awesome and still allows me to go to the gym after work on the days I don't have class. I do a lot less bullshitting though. I don't talk to folks as much between sets so I can get home and help her. Once the wife goes back to work in a few weeks though, it'll get harder probably because we're both gonna want to go to the gym and our gym doesn't have daycare. We'll figure it out though. It's definitely not as bad as people made it out to be. Everyone was saying how my gym time would be done and that I would never have time for it. Those people are lazy. I went to the gym the day after they were born lol. It's all about how bad you want it and the gym is literally like my #1 passion (besides food, obviously), so there was no wavering on that. Fortunately, my wife is great and realized this and it wasn't something she was going to ask me to give up.

School is good. I'll officially be zacharypaul89, JD 15 months. I've gotten all the hard classes out of the way, so it's just working towards the credit hour minimum now. I'm going at night after work 2 days a week, which sucks because I'm sleep deprived, but just like the above, it's all about how bad you want it.

TL;DR: People say they don't have time for stuff, but they're just lazy and would rather spend their free time watching tv.

Yup. Sometimes time is an issue short term, but long term agreed

Time sucks for me presently because my second job is at a peak time. I've fallen asleep on the couch while doing spreadsheets more than once. Then I feel like a lazy slug in the morning

Part time, which is 4 years, opposed to the 3 year full-time program. I'm in year 3 and graduate May of 2019.

Good to hear on all accounts. Everything that you have said is very true about making time to do what is important to you. Having done the evening JD program myself, I respect the grind. I wish I could tell you it gets "easier" after school, but it really doesn't. Well, I guess it depends on what kind of law your practice.

I think that's impressive so long as you're sub 300 lbs bodyweight, but really impressive at your BW.

Yeah you end up leaving law school to turn around and work 80 hour weeks lol.

But pick a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.

I'm willing to take a job I can tolerate so that I can have the money to do things I love when I'm not at work. I hVe expensive hobbies. Trucks being one of them…

I did the 4 year evening program and worked full time the whole time. It was tiring but not as bad as some of my classmates made it out to be. If you have a full time job that you can keep for the whole time during school and aren't really in a rush to get out, go part time. It will save you a lot of money. But if you don't have a full time job, I wouldn't prolong it any more than you have to.

My problem is that I have a tendency to dip my fingers in too many pies and I spread myself too thin.

I love my job. I work a 45-50 hour week normally just to get my normal job done... I always want to work more and put in more time so I can do the best at what I do. I'm already a grad student and I had to back off to 1 class a semester because I'll just burn myself out.

Afraid I will do the same with law school if I even attempt to work full-time. :S Cause then I'll fail expensive classes LOL.

Most law schools have a cap on how many hours you can take a semester if you're part time and it's 11. But you could stretch it out longer if you want. Usually you pay by the credit but have to take a minimum of 6.

Yes the school I’m going to caps you at 29 credits per year for part time. They may limit per semester as well. If they accept you as a part time student they wont let you go full.

What type of law are you in?
