All starz tire! Awesome family owned company. Theyre an off-road shop. Will do basic mechanical stuff and anything suspension or tire etc

I know you're in Jax, but US 1 Auto & Muffler in South Daytona is honest and very reasonable price (with a nice cash discount). They stand behind all of their work and are knowledgeable on all generations of Toys. They weld and build too. Only thing they don't do is paint.

Learn to do it yourself. I did this stuff when I was 16.

Good for you. I did everything in my younger days on my '85 4-runner and '91 truck. Still do most of the work on my good ol '91 Toy, but the newer engines are a bit more intimidating for this old skooler, and now the eyesight ain't what it used to be. Maybe jrain is just too busy making a living, or doesn't a good place to work on his truck.

Always find a way. I'm just suggesting do it yourself due to not trusting stealer ship. Can anyways trust yourself.

If out of warranty, I agree with your opinion of not trusting dealerships. Corporate pressure, high overhead and employee turnover problematic for trust.

LOL. If I was hard up for money or enjoyed working on cars I would do my own maintenance but I would rather spend my spare time hunting, fishing, and spending time with my family. In other words I just want to pay someone for a job well done. I have to admit I enjoyed using the dealership until I looked over my vehicle after the 15K service and saw that they did not grease the propeller shaft although they checked it off on the list. I figure if they skipped that, then what else do they skip?

I go to S&S Custom Exhaust on St. Johns Bluff. Just south of Atlantic. http://www.sscustomexhaust.com/ Ian is the owner. Patrick is one of the managers. Great guys. Never had an issue with them. Honest and reasonable. I go to them when I can't do it myself for whatever reason (lack of time, knowledge, and/or proper tools). You can bring in your own parts as well, and just pay labor. Not all shops will do that.

Bringing this back to life to ask which stealer ship you were going to?!?!? Got my 15k coming up within the next 3 months or so and would like to either avoid or make sure I check even closer than normal the work done to my ride.
