If I never need a safespace, I found where to go. Kids eat free night at the mexican restaurant in the country. Mullets, perms, perm'd mullets, camo clothing, strong southern accents.

Felt like I was back home in north georgia in the days before hipsters and millennials arrived. :D:cheers:

I just wanted to give a shout out to @rngr, @mpkramer71, and @Mr.Bl0nde for helping me get my lift on. I had a great time and learned a lot today, I’ll post pictures tomorrow when the sun is up.

Preface this with I've been super busy these last couple days... But thank you for the warm welcome.

*Gonna be a work truck, looking at a light package and siren (I know the laws and will be in full compliance 2nd truck to be wired up)
*New suspension and possibly a leveling kit for a new front and rear bumper.

I'll look into this, depends if I'm gonna be off work, plus my luck I'll have it in a tree first 10 minutes out. See "new to 4x4 and off reading"

Is anyone using these shackles with the stock hangers? I'm looking for an extra 1" of lift in the back, I already have an AAL (TOYTEC 2", about 6 years old), but do not want to buy new springs for a while. I put extended shackles on my 2002 Tacoma and I feel like they made my springs sag quicker. Or would a 3 leaf multi-leaf be better?

I think it would yield a loss oflift installed on the shock hanger. I could be wrong. Weird that they would have stock hanger as an option. Lift shackles only lift if you install on an inverted hanger...

A hair too much. Thanks though!

Going to have some extremely low BS as it is, so I don't want any more tire poke than is necessary to keep them off the frame. The goal is 2.5"-2.75" BS, so that means a 1.25 or 1.5" spacer.

A full leaf pack will ALWAYS be better. Anyone who tells you different is ignorant or fuckin with you. You're right about the extended shackles causing your springs to sag more. The longer the shackle, the more leverage it creates. On compression, the back of the shackle naturally wants to push out as the leaf flattens and elongates. This would be fine if your leafs were rubber bands and could stretch but because they can't, the shackle has no choice but to push down. Theres no where else for it to go. The longer the shackle, the farther down it's gonna push. The top point is fixed, the bottom point pivots but once again, it can only pivot so far to where it would need to literally stretch the leaf out to continue to travel upwards.

There are a few ways to defeat this problem:
    1. Get shorter shackles
    2. Keep the stock shackle design as it folds inward instead of outward
    3. Run very few leafs with no overload and let them go into negative arch
    4. Invert your leaf springs (it's been done)
    5. Bump the travel so that your leafs can't go into negative arch
    6. Keep shackles and leafs stock and put 6" blocks under the leaf pack for 6" of worry free lift .....

The stock shackle design is the best design for a leaf sprung truck that isn't a dedicated trail rig looking for maximum flex. Having said that, the shackles you linked should work just fine but getting all your lift from a leaf pack is the best route to go.

3" BS should be plenty. I've seen guys on 35s with 3.25 even and barely rub the frame
