2017 Toyota Tacoma BAMF ROCK SLIDERS

recently installed some BAMF rock sliders!! They look so goood!! What do you guys think? Here’s a video!

Since you asked. I think you should do something to protect that hardware from rusting, which would require you to pull them off again.

 

Explain brotha, what do you mean? If it means protecting them, I’ll take them apart again no biggie

Interesting, neither of the 3rd gen's I've owned have had those plastic covers where the frame goes from full to C channel....

Your install looks like it went a lot smoother than mine. Took me and another taco forum member 8 hours to install them.

The name was a bit of a tounge twister for me. So I kept it short!

Antman408, when I first received the package it was a bit confusing, I called them direct and they guided me step by step!
Which was amazing! Great customer service!

It wasn’t too confusing, just for some reason the holes on some of the parts on the truck didn’t line up 100% so it made it very difficult on certain parts trying to apply pressure and keep trying until it went. Had to use a strap and such.

No pictures, when I get my truck back out of the body shop this week I’ll take some and post em.

 

I read that many people had to use straps, I didn’t need straps. I simply used two jack stands to place it correctly and just added all the bolts!

I think he means spray paint them or do something to coat them so that they don’t rust from exposure. I’d think the paint you put on them would wear off while installing though, probably better to mask them off and just spray them

 

I spray painted the lever piece and the other piece that doesn’t come to mind it’s name. I didn’t apraypain any of the nuts, bolts or washers though. Didn’t see the point, paint will come off when you thread the nut in.

 

Gotcha. I can always spray them with some clear now that they’re installed. I doubt it really makes a difference. These rock sliders will be put to some good use. So I’ll be getting new ones in about 3 years. I tend to always bang my stuff up haha
