    4 door.
Not sure on the lift or the SYE he said he is hearing a noise from the transfer case, thinks it's the output shaft bearing. I would plan on swapping in a 4:1 kit anyways. He is giving me an amazing deal at $3000 so I can't say no.

Yeah could be from not having the slip yoke eliminator. Stock, the rear driveshaft has a slip yoke on the output of the transfer case. When you lift and articulate, you end up with less of the driveshaft on the output.

Sounds like a great deal though as long as it's not rusty. And no auto locker in the front! The one i bought up here had 2" spacers, 35s and auto locker up front. I ditched the spacers, 35s for 33s and tossed the locker. Then it was useable on trail.

Its a friend of mine who is selling it to me. I know he did his research on everything and lifted it the correct way. Not a speck of rust. He just wants to get into a Toyota with a V8 now.

That's funny because I've heard plenty of Jeep people say things like 'I'm gonna rip out the carpet and just rhinoline it!' and they just kinda stare at me funny when I tell them it's gonna be obnoxiously loud and I'd rather add sound deadening..

Apparently it just broke his nose. Scans on his brain say he's fine... well, at least as fine as any snowboarder's brain has any right to be :D

One of mine was rhino lined. Doing the interior even with a decent respirator in an open garage was one heck of a chore.

How did you like it rhinolined? One of the negatives is he smoked in it. So that will be the first step is cleaning the entire interior to get most of the bad smell out. If I removed the carpet then I wouldn't have to worry about cleaning that part.

My/my parents XJ couldn't stay above 15mpg, electrical issues that would come and go, and the rear axle broke 2 times with 31" tires. As annoying as those failures were, the throw-out bearing going out 3 times (using factory parts) in 30k miles just sealed the deal. It was bad enough vehicle that I switched to a 79 Toyota Pickup to be more reliable.

Hey, I would be keeping it if I didn't have all kinds of bills to pay off. But such is life. Crazy when fixing one tooth is half the price of bringing a baby into this world.
