So where is the big crash that was supposed to happen today when the futures contracts expired?

Nobody knows a damn thing about the crypto market. The more I read, the more convinced I am of that. Technical analysis, fundamental analysis, whatever analysis... it all appears to be the equivalent of stool gazing to me.

Agreed. When 90% of the BTC market is owned by 1% it makes it difficult to predict their moves. I assumed they would short their own positions, sell a large enough chunk to cause a dive, cash out the futures contracts, and buy in at a more favorable position. That's what I would do. I was wrong, at least so far today anyhow.

No. It is for the same stock. I have made several buy/sell trades on different stocks in the past week and none of them counted as a strike towards pattern day trading.
Sure, you can same day buy/sell Stock A on monday, stock B on tuesday, and stock C on wednesday, and you'd get warning I'm sure. But I've yet to see why anyone would do this, unless you're some kind of genie and can predict huge roller-coaster style shifts happening over an 8 hour trading-day period. Which is absurd. Those types of shifts don't happen over 8 hours. They barely even happen over 8 days.

That's what I was getting at... you buy stock A and sell in the same day, that's 1 day trade. You buy stock B and sell in the same day, that's another day trade. Different stocks, 2 day trades

You must not follow crypto very much if you think buying and selling a coin every day isnt common. Shit ive bought and sold the same coin 5+ times in a couple hour window quite a few times

That depends on a persons capital ;)
I haven't seen a big coin shift more than 9-10% in a day

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
It may take a few days for the impact to occur.

It also depends on what the futures contacts that expired were based on. If the contracts were shorting btc, you will see a decline.

Yup, big coins often don't. But there are like 1500 other positions out there to look at.
