I'll probably be leaving just as y'all are arriving.

A slightly longer commute is usually going to put you in a better area. Like @DukesTaco mentioned, Vail and Corona de Tucson are nice areas. Rita Ranch is extremely popular with military families. There are some apartments near the foothills that are nice and affordable, but I try to avoid apartments, I don't like being that close to people. My house is near Speedway and Kolb, very quiet neighborhood, lots of older people.

The rule we usually give our new people is to avoid anything too close to base and avoid anything that looks sketchy. I'll try to get more info when I have more.

So here’s what I have so far:

Rice peak this weekend starting Saturday February 3rd, and possibly on to Sunday for those who would want to camp.

Meetup at some gas station in Tucson (anywhere works for me, need a good recommendation though). Fuel up and convoy out.

Get to trailhead and air down. And then shenanigans ensue.

Going list, quote and add your name:

We could push back the camping trip if that works for most, and do a short day run this weekend. I’m up for anything. Doesn’t need to be prerunner friendly, just prerunner possible.

Wakefield has an old hunting cabin, looks pretty sweet I’ve been wanting to check it out for years

I’m not sure yet, I’ll know exactly when by the end of this week. Beginning of the semester always blows

You can run strait through Redington pass and get to Redfield. which would probably be alot more fun then I10. from there you can go all the way to benson and then back home. never gone that far but its nice out there!
