Know the feeling, my 6yo son kept waking up last night in excruciating pain. Said his cheek, jaw, and ear was hurting really bad. He was writhing in pain and crying all morning. We didn't know if we should have taken him to the emergency room or wait until an urgent care opened. Around 6:30am, he said it sounded like metal crashing and thunder in his ears, so at that point it was go time.

After much much worrying, turns out he's got a really bad middle ear infection. That was a huge relief. I was thinking the worst.

That's probably one of the single best certs to get, IMO. MCSE or CCNA/CCNP would be second, and then maybe Network+ I personally want the CRISC, but my job doesn't require it and would likely mean a move to another company to be useful... But those $$$

With there being rumors of virtual machines in our future, I'm thinking Network+ or even a Windows 10 certification is in store for me down the road.

net+ isnt that great of a cert to have. had mine since 2006. if you're thinking about virtual machines, you'd be better off with ESXi or similar certs.

I've heard A+ is pretty useless and doesn't hold much value. Net+ and Sec+ are more valuable but still not great. The ones that really hold value are the ones you mentioned, CCNA/P and MCSE are much more valuable. Doesn't hurt to have an A+ but it won't do much for ya

thanks! I'm pretty sure that Security+ is available also. I'll just have to see which classes my boss is suggesting I do first.

For deskside support it is pretty much mandatory around here. Shows you knows all the basics. All the rest are icing on the cake, but A+ will help you get your foot in the door.

The CCNA cyber ops was new, but most of the Cisco stuff I have is just being kept up for nothing. Doing IR stuff now and never touch Cisco anymore.

Why do folks hate Monday's? :notsure:

For me- its another opportunity to remain gainfully employed, and to perform. They also pay me to work on Mondays. :)
    :headbang:
