    I don't think you have to they're aluminum. I kind of felt like I wasted the money when I bought them. I was thinking they would be rubber.

    I bet it is something so silly and easy, but I just changed the valve cover gaskets on my truck today. Put everything back together and now my truck won't start :(

    I took videos and pictures of where hoses go and I'm sure the firing order is correct.

    It cranks but won't start. What could it be? Spark plugs and coil pack are relatively new.

    Are the plugs sparking?

    Maybe look at all the electrical connections that are used to remove and reinstall the VCG?

    So I'm here messing with it. Truck has check engine light on, and the engine temp gauge is maxed out on H without the key even being in. How could that be?

    Im such a damn idiot. All I had to do was let it crank for like 10 seconds (yesterday I only let it crank 3 because I was so nervous) and she started right up. Ran violent as hell tho and shaked like crazy. So I checked things out and the air intake (top) had loose bolts. Tightened up and she's running right again. :thumbsup: Damn I'm a nervous wreck when it comes to my baby

    I installed aftermarket TRD Pro grill with 4 LED lights, and Installed a Prinsu roof rack with LED lightbar.
    Will The black permatex RTV sealant work?

    I had just had mine replaced along w/new plugs & wires.Plenum too since truck has 328k on it.
    I just can't work on these trucks much over the basics anymore myself.

    FWIW, I took the injectors out of my 2002 with 200k miles to have them cleaned. After cleaning, the flow rate only improved very slightly. In my experience, it wasn't worth the cost.

    You never know - its one of those things you just gotta do unless you have your own means to check the flowrates before submitting them to get cleaned.

    I think its well worth it for peace of mind

    I like the FelPro set better myself. It's just neoprene rubber. None of them last forever.
    We used to be stuck with cork.
