Happy Birthday @MoneyMan55 hope you have a good one!

Some bean counter somewhere decided it was cheaper to outsource the help desk instead of handling it in house with the cost of fully loaded salaries. See it a lot anymore, although it has come and gone in waves through the years.

We have to do our open enrollment online also. Although if you don't then everything carries over to the next year the same as it is. Way back in time different systems needed different logons because they didn't talk to each other. Most can be converted to one user account now but usually aren't, it can be pretty tricky. Mainframe still needs a RACF (Rack F) id. I have 4 login ID's but at least my primary one is the old style and simple. The others are a bunch of numbers, the Borg is right. We use password synchronization to make the password the same on all systems when it is changed every 6 months and that helps.

Actually 2hrs difference , up here in the Hi Desert in Socal seeing cooler temps 15-20deg colder than near Andy's location . Also winds are very light here maybe 3-5mph and humidity here is 15%

Not much to burn up here in the Mojave desert just a lot of Joshua trees and desert scrub brush

Ours carries over also, except I still have to declare that I am a non smoker. If I don't do it I pay a higher rate. Here's the part that is stupid. I get charged the higher rate, than I get reimburse for that amount. But, it's considered income, so its taxed. So I'm being taxed for not smoking.:notsure:

Well now, that's just your fault. If you'd just buy the cigs, then the gov't would get their money and leave you alone, but since you insist on not smoking, then they have to turn to alternate forms of revenue.

I can't like that, and another vote for the government must be involved. Ex wife and I were married for the 9 years and 11 months at the end of my active duty. If we were married 10 years she would have gotten 50% of my retirement income. And she would pay taxes on it as income. Turned out only had to give her 24% of my income because married less than 10 years of active duty (although married 24 years when she left), good right? No, I have to give up the 24% of my retirement income to her then pay a tax rate of 28% on top of that to Uncle Sam for taxes of what I pay her. Only the goberment could come up with this stuff.
