Which 8” sub package did you go with? I’m really thinking about adding a sub. Was it a powered sub or whole separate set up?

I bit the bullet and bought the Subaru tweeters from Amazon. Arrived the next day (Saturday), impressive! Took less than 1/2 to install. Easy peasy!

Might replace the front door speakers some day, but for now, am content.

I’m looking to upgrade my front kickers and eventually the tweeters on my ‘12 Prerunner but which brand would everyone suggest?

I went cheap and put Rockford fosgate primes. I am very happy with the purchase.

Just took the plunge. Only bought the tweeters, front kickers, and deadening material. Nobody is ever in the back anyway and hear it doesn’t make a huge difference. So might as well save $100

Just did my tweeters today. I'm in the same boat as you. I'm very pleased with the results. Door speakers are way, way down the priority list.

Funny thing is, I put them in Saturday and they didn't blow me away. Today they must be broken in, cause they sound fantastic!

It sounds pretty good. Depends a lot on the type of music you're listening too. I really like it with my rock, but I find myself turning the volume down when the girlfriend is picking music.

Just installed the tweeters. (Waiting on door speakers in the mail)Great upgrade. Expected the highs to be a lot more crisp (which they are) but the bass coming out really surprised me. Only had one small issue, the damn A frame bolt cover got messed up and now I need to glue it or buy a new one.

Also threw some felt in between the A frame and speaker grill as i get that annoying rubbing sound when it’s cold out. Wish I would of had black, but whatever. It’s hardly noticeable.

Sub is in an hooked up, need to officially mount the amp and make it all as pretty as my amateur self can. My god did this whole thing change my feelings on the stereo in this truck. I used to envy the Jbl system in the wife's Venza. I no longer feel that way. Huge huge improvement, it absolutely blows the factory Jbl in these trucks away!!!

I originally did these speakers, was happy. Then added Subaru kicker tweeters, was happier, but I wanted a sub. Ended up rewiring doors to an amp and added a JL stealthbox. 75 Watts to the doors now and these speakers are loud! Sub is awesome and adds such good bass.
