    Ha !
    I can top that one :}Though mine does not cost me till I die like yours :{

    I got out the first time under High Year Tenure under the I did not inhale's directives. I was paid a severance pay of 16,200 or so after taxes it was 11,800 or so in April 96 . Fast forward 6 years later VA awards a percentage .. yep no you are not getting anything until you pay back wait for it .... the 16,200 ish you were paid as severance.. I was like huh ??? Why do I have to pay back all of it when I did not get all of it ... It is in the rules and yep they sent it to me .. I tried to fight even wrote letters to all of my members of congress, senate, rep and the VA Committee etc ( Biden was one of them btw at the time) . Nothing ! The rules stated if you got it before Oct 1 96 you paid back all if you got it afterward you only paid back what you received after taxes.. Even better was later when I was let go from the job I had started ( I put in my 2 weeks to start with the state they weren't happy ) and the first and only time I was ever let go lol. Just for entertainment since I had two weeks before start and a month before first pay check I called unemployment ... yeah well since you got paid when you get out by our calculations you aren't eligible for benefits till 1 November...

    For those who do not know High year tenure was a program along with 2 others designed to get people out of the military since .. I think they scared the president at the time lol. You did not have a choice if you did not get to a rank they chose E-5 by 10 years in you were put out . The other two programs were VSB voluntary separation benefit , SSB selected separation benefit. Voluntary is self explanatory, selective was they went through the ranks and time in service by job and offered those that were close to 20 years early out full pension.

    My Example to the people I wrote:
    If a company decides they no longer need you and you have a contract they buy you out and send you on your way. If they realize they need you back do they ask for the money they paid you to leave back ??? I can not make a logical argument for this policy they pay you to end the contract , you claim your VA which has nothing to do with ending your contract it is for things they broke on you why do you have to pay it back ???

    And it is still happening today:

    Yeah I live in a smart state ...

    The jokesters at the Delaware Department of Transportation are at it again.

    As the Eagles prepare to take on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII Sunday, divers are being encouraged to not drink and drive with a little bit of gridiron humor.

    "FLY EAGLES FLY. DRIVE DRUNK. GET A DUI," reads a sign greeting motorists on I-495 through Wilmington.

    Another reads: "YOU CAN'T DEFLATE UR WAY OUT ... OF A DUI," an apparent jab at the Patriots being accused of cheating by deflating game balls during a 2015 playoff game.

    The messages are sprinkled onto some of DelDOT's dozens of highway-side message boards used to display information about road hazards.

    https://www.delawareonline.com/stor...bowl-swagger-highway-safety-signs/1074366001/

    Some how I am thinking it is in appropriate use of state warning signs lol perhaps funny to those who like football or the eagles and such but really ?? How about a little professionalism :}

    I did hear some radio personality on a show Brady would go on , stepped on this own junk and called Bradys 5 year old daughter a whiny puissant or some such thing publically ... Yeah he is suspended till some time after the Super Bowl lol imagine that...

    Yeah you can’t say anything about anybody anymore. Just put your head down and walk away. Start conforming or lose your job

    They only have about 2.5 hrs difference between the longest and shortest day of the year. DST wouldn’t do much for them.

    hmmm ... that could be a serious miscalculation.

    In this day and age, I’m still trying to figure out why anyone does DST. The answer I get most often is kids at bus stop safety. But that doesn’t pass up here. :notsure:

    Good evening folks. Tired, had enough for the day.

    So @Tacoma Mike , I didn't start the truck yesterday but decided to wait till this morning to move it so I could get the Harley out. So this morning, it started like normal but the starter hung up only slightly. This is only the 2nd time it hung up, but does that go along with the solenoid contacts being worn out or do you think I'm not going in the right direction?
