I have this as well and think it's one of the best phone mounts around.

I like it. How does it do over bumps? Does it slide sideways around sharp turns? It looks like having the power cord connected would help hold it in place. Is there enough clearance to attach some friction tape on bottom?

What dash mat and steering wheel covers are those? They look great, and would like to add to my truck!

U know, a small amount of dremmel work will give a fully functional ac vent with the hondo mount. And if u don't like it, u can always buy another ac vent and poof, it never happened.

For regular day to day driving it does not move around at all - unless you drive like Mario Andretti, I guess you could make it move.
For heavy 4x4 off-roading, I would think it would move or even pop off the dash trim.
When I purchased mine I was planning on using a small piece of 3M tape to keep it secure, but I have not had to.

Of course there is no adjust-ability, with regards to swiveling the phone.

On the dash I have a dash mat by Covercraft. I think I got it off Summit Racing because the shipping to Cali was cheaper. It fits good. I initially had a Covercraft that had much nicer material, but it reflected the sun off the windshield. I got them to take it back and re-ordered the the one I have now - which is just the base model.

The steering wheel cover is just one that I saw at my local O'Reillys auto parts. They had a big selection. You don't realize how dirty a steering wheel gets unless you wipe one down with a clorox wipe.
For $15 I buy a cover each year and then throw it away.

I ordered one of these... I want to see if it can be attached to the little gap behind the center console frame and the dashboard.... there's that little flat gap between the two parts.. maybe this one can sit down in that area? Maybe it'll take a little trimming. I'll poast up when I get it set up.

The way this one is designed it really won’t work well with the articulating magnets. It uses the weight of the phone to hold it in place and I would imagine trying to change the mount angle with those type would require some 3m tape to keep it in place. I guess if you’re interested in trying it we could work something out but I’m hesitant to offer it for sale without the magnet. I had a customer early on that bought one without the magnet, put some cheap magnet on that he got at a hardware store, and then complained at me that my product was bad. After that I’ve only offered it with the high quality magnet kit and haven’t had any complaints.

Just shoot me a PM and we can discuss further if you’d like.

    Just ordered an ETSY one!

One question, does it come with a metallic plate that I put on my phone? I run my phone caseless so do they have adhesive to the metallic plate?

It comes with a selection of plates. Some are adhesive and some aren’t, so you have options.
I use an Otterbox case, and I used the large square non-adhesive plate. I just stuck it between the hard outer shell and the rubber.

I got my mount in the mail last week. Holder works perfectly. Slid one of the magnets between my case and the phone and it's totally solid. Just need to get in the habit of pulling straight down to release the phone, which took me a few tries, but now it's automatic.

I tried the Hondo phone-ring setup and also the Etsy mount, but I didn't like the phone being up so high. If you want something lower, (or something that you can move around) I can't say enough about the Mob Armor Mobnetic mount.

It's small, super easy to install, and fairly cheap...all like the Etsy mount. But this mount allows me to place it where ever I want and even move it as needed...so it can be mounted up above the radio/vents if I wanted.

Lots of pics in my thread here:
