That's up on a mountain ridge, nowhere near where I live. We go to the snow, it doesn't come to us over here in WA.

Ahhhh, much nicer to go play in it and leave it behind when done. This is my house a couple years ago, most snow in one day, nearly 3', then another 18" the next day:

You is lucky... here, it comes to us, weather we like it or not..!! If we had mountains to drive up into, we'd be stuck till spring, I guess...!!

Nice pic there... Loks like you had fun playing in the snow..!:canada:

Uh, NOT! It wouldn't be so bad but I share a common drive and the rest of the people are older so I feel compelled to get out there and clear the drive. I have a Kubota with a 54" blower so it's not so bad. It takes almost 10 hours to do it all though.

When I was a kid, couldn't get enough of it. Now that I am older, I dream of a grass hut on the beach in Hawaii with just enough room to park my Taco.

Yea, just a freak Nor-Easter, and luckily that only happens once in like 12 years. On average, a normal decent storm dumps 6" - 12". This year (knock on wood) the most we've seen is nearly 5". This winter is not over for us. They are calling for snow tonight, Wednesday and then again Sunday. If the temps drop and stay low it will accumulate. Otherwise we will get lucky and it will melt in between.

The bad part about Maryland is it only takes 2" and we are crippled because half of the idiots on the road don't know the first thing about driving in the snow, and the other half think anything with 4wd is unstoppable in the snow. Actually, they are right most of the time and those are the ones I see off the side of the road in the fields disabled.

Plus we get wet snow. Unlike a lot of the country that gets dryer snow. So we will get 2" of wet, heavy snow, they will salt the hell outta the roads, it turns to slush and by 2 am it is a sheet of ice. Then rush hour starts and there are accidents every 2 miles on the highway.

Can you tell I hate driving in snow?! A lot of times, I just take my laptop home with me and work from home.

Can't say I have anything to complain about with my winter weather. Just setting up the new tent in the backyard while in shorts, t-shirt, and sandals. :D

Dude, I have secluded wooded parts of my property, and a front end loader on a tractor for smart asses like you!

OMG, I wish I was there! I lived on The Kane'ohe Air Force Base on Oahu when my Dad served in the marines. We lived there from 1967 to 1972.
I swear one day I will get back there.

We’re gonna have to talk. Tractors leave evidence. Take em to the swamps of bayou country, tell em to jump in, the chum the waters around them.

LOL, Good one @Cuffs and I got a new friend down there on the bayou too. Hey @blaineehughes, you got a discreet place we can dispose of a guy pokin' us with warm weather, shorts and flip flops sticks? That @ToyoDrew is pushin' it. Of course we would have to get there and it's a hell of a swim.

Yosemite was an ideal spot. Just enough winter to get a taste of it but not shut everything down and it didn’t stick long enough to shovel.
Learning that this area of SW Utah is very similar. 65 at the house. And 20 and snowshoeing on a bluebird day just an hour away

Yea, so far the pics I've seem sure does make that part of the country ideal for my taste. The only other place I like as much or more is I have a friend that lives in New Mexico, south of Santa Fe, on the Sandias Mtns. He gets snow more than we do but it only lasts a couple days at the most. The rest of the time it is like nothing I have ever seen.

Maryland has a lot of attributes with one end in the Appalachians and the other on the coast but for the most part, it is drab and you are either looking at trees or corn or soybeans. I like the stark contrast I see of the rocky west.
