Anyone here have experience with the Sprint Booster?

I would specifically like to know if this really helps do away with the significant delay between the time you hit the accelerator and the time the computer decides to "fulfill your request" and speed up the engine.

^^ i agree, if its a URD product its prolly good. But is it worth the 300+ for just a smidgen faster response? that seems like a lot for what it does. Just my $.02

I see they are available for the manual transmission equipped Tacomas from '09-'10. Mine is an '07 though.

I sent them a message via their website asking if we can expect them for the '05-'08 models and what exactly the difference was.

 

Where do you see that? All I see in regards to the manual is:
"Manual transmission versions and other applications are in testing and will be available soon."

I think I'd be there with you guys if they offered one for my Tacoma. Hopefully they'll get back to me with positive news.

 

That's what the 13-page write-up that guy made suggests. If that is the case, it may not really do what I want. But the SB website suggests it removes the delay and sluggish response. The guy doing the write-up suggests it does nothing the user can't do by simply pressing the pedal faster.

In my last email to the SB guy, I asked about this. He hasn't replied yet.

Sounds like that would do a good job of killing gas mileage...

After reading about this device I took my truck out today and paid close attention to its acceleration. I didn't notice a bit of lag between my pressing the gas pedal and acceleration response, not to mention the 1 second lag the website claims.

 

What is your truck specifically?

Mine definitely has a serious lag. If you hit the accelerator pedal, there's a very noticeable and significant delay before the engine reacts. If you tap it fast and immediately release it, the engine won't even react at all in many cases.
