Read aboutmy lift recommendation posted in earlier in this thread. You could be at 2 inches front and back with a comfortable, capable choice for less than $600 in parts, $800 if you decide to do the ECGS bushing also.

Read it. Like it. Surely the Level 8 MK6s I put on with a -10 offset wouldn't affect the lift you did?

Stock tire size you should be fine, larger might need some trimming with that offset

If any larger, I was just going to go 265/70/17.

You'll be fine, I run that size with no issues.

I didn't need a diff drop or extended brake lines when I pieced together my kit with 885 springs and the 3 leaf AAL but if you go higher than 2 inches in the rear you might need the brake line extension.

Never been a fan of diff drop kits, use that money towards the ECGS bushing and seal.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. I would be stoked with 2" of lift so I am leaning toward 5100 at zero setting with 887 coils and HS 3 AAL.

I have zero plans of adding a winch but I may get a shell/softopper in the near futue. I plan to keep the truck for 10+ years so anything I do I hope it lasts!

Are you stating that if you don’t add UCAs to a 2” lift, then it’s necessary to add an ecgs bushing?

I’m tryin to learn about these lift options.

The ecgs bushing is used when the cv angle changes. Raising the truck with front suspension changes the cv angle

    Necessary no....highly suggested yes...

Some people get vibes 1 mile down the road and some get it 10s of tbousands of miles down the road and just deal with it and do the ecgs.

I did the ecgs before I lifted my vehicle. No complaints...

5100’s and a 1” rear block was $425 shipped. $265 for installation and alignment. And you get money to play with or save for future modifications:cheers:

I’m running 275/70/17 with a -10mm offset wheel with zero issues.

Did you only do 5100's up front and block in the rear and nothing else? Are you using oem coils on the front 5100's? If so, how did you get a lift up front when the coils are what do the lift part? How much overall lift did you think you get with this setup and new tires?

I did 5100’s all around. The rear has a 1” block though because the rear 5100’s aren’t adjustable. I’m on stock coils. The front 5100’s are adjustable, they have 6 settings. Mine is set at the 3rd so it provides 1.1” of lift, with the highest providing ~2” of lift. The 5100’s and 887 OME coils is what you’re referring to. Those coils are slightly larger and stiffer so people don’t change the setting on the 5100.

Ok thanks, that makes sense. I just cannot understand how visually your truck looks much taller when you only did 1" of lift all the way around. I know your new tires probably helped a little. Interesting route and I will have to consider this

I agree, if I could get it for that price installed I would consider this for sure. I was aiming for 2" to 2.5", but maybe I would be happy with 1" to 1.5"

Can I ask, did you notice a ride difference in comfort going to the 5100's?

I was recently surprised to hear how often higher end stuff like king/fox/icon need to be rebuilt. I’m going to be replacing my suspension in the future and I’ve been trying to figure out what I want. Hearing how often they need to be serviced is greatly affecting which suspension set up I’m going to go with.

What is the life expectancy of the Bilstein 6112/5160 set up?
