So ive had my new truck diagnosed by multiple service techs...
Truck pulls left. Alignment is dead on, and steering wheel is centered.
This has been the case since after the lift.

I did some googling and it seems that if when they disconnect the battery during lift install, and reattach the battery with the tires turned to either side...the Steering Angle sensor could end up being calibrated off center.

This would explain a pulling truck with absolutely no resolve.

any truth or any one know about this?

I pulled my battery terminal (negative) and will go back and an hour to see if anything is corrected.
Wheels are straight and centered. OMG that would be a great fix!!

I have the same problem after my lift, alignment is dead on. Pulls to the right. The battery was never disconnected.

I wonder if damage/abuse to ABS sensor/wiring could cause light braking hence "pulling" to a side...

    Rotate tires.
I have had a bad new 0 mile tire that pulled once.
    Alignment right on.
Changed it out and issue gone.

    did all that.
checked for stuck caliper, cross rotated tires front and back..no change, road forced balanced front tires (huge difference at 60mph, smooooooth),
tightened steering rack / box (was loose and made a pop noise when moving tires side to side when parking or still) tech found that today (sending the guys pizza tomorrow)., drove truck straight..turned off truck while moving forward..still pulled so not PS pump or brakes. Everything looks good.

Just went outside to put the terminal back on..settings on radio are all still there so i think it may need longer. Going to leave it unplugged over night..crossing my fingers that this is the fix. What a nightmare of frustration if it works.

Have an appointment with dealer on Wed morning just in case.

    Oh..didnot know that.

I was expecting my phone not to recoonect to bluetooth and all stations to be missing on radio/xm.

The steering rack ive had issues with since day one since purchased.
If i made a complete u turn in the truck or turned the wheel while standing still..the steering wheel would return but off center.
Today after my 4th alignment..i went to work, parked, came back to my truck and rolled out. I immediately noticed my steering wheel was off again. Went back to firestone, tech got under and asked me to turn the wheel. POP!!
Diagnosed by turning the wheel back and forth and it was replicating over and over. He comes back with a wrench and says hold up..Tightens the steering rack and the steering wheel returned to center and the popping stopped as we turned the wheel left tor right and back again.. It must of come like this from the dealer cause its been an ongoing issue with the wheel off center and needing to turn the wheel hard to the opposite side to recenter it lol.
    So that cured that.

    But the pulling remains.

And yes i have already tried front tires to rear...discount tire is sick of me already.

So if you here that popping noise when turning your wheels while standing still or moving slowly...check the steering rack / box , make sure that fkrs tight. Lots of unresolved posts about this same issue.

according to the manual..disconnecting the battery doesnt look like the resolve.
Looks like ill need to take it to the dealer.

    FAQ!!!:annoyed:

If the techstream method resolves the issue, this post should make lots of "pullers" happy.

    More to follow.

You can do it yourself if you want.
See page 1,144(#4 and #5); then page 1,053(#2)

If your pull is a result of the zero points being off, it is because they neglected to disconnect the battery before alignment.
VSC is basically screwing with your steering.
You have to clear the yaw/accel zero point, calibrate the yaw/accel zero point and then calibrate the steering angle zero point.

If you have high offset wheels, the additional scrub radius and road crown will favor the passenger side, making you compensate by steering to the left.

Or, a combination of the two...

Can you post your alignment numbers?
