Morning all, fell asleep at 2100 awake at 0400. But at least it was a good 7 hours.

That is a very cool project Mike. Glad to hear someone cares enough to restore it, even though it will never be a +10. They get a restored classic and you get to play for a while. Win/win

... I can’t remember the last time I got 7 straight hours of sleep.

 

Understand that. I explain my sleep habits as a series of somewhat connected naps at night.

 

I have never had issues sleeping. My wife learned to stop trying to talking to me when I went to bed. As soon as my head hits the pillow, I am out. And always get at least 5 to 6 hours.






And naps, lots of naps, because I can

@P2W Have you shot or know anyone who has put these down range NOV X 9mm Luger +P-ARX 65 grain Vel @15 ft 2031 Energey 595 ft lbs . Dad asked me about them I found some articles from semi respectable sites going to find some vids with gel tests and such. The seem to be designed for soft tissue damage large wound channel with shockwave damage to soft tissue internal organs.

I do wonder how much wear will occur on alum mags and followers as they are using stainless cases. Alum primers I am not familiar with have they been around a bit ? I presume they are softer then the standard steel primers wonder if it affects spring firing pins ....

Yeah but lol dad is 75 says " The 45-70 is a bit to much for him these days" .. I gather he likes the new Ruger PC Carbine threaded barrel and such and wants to maybe pick one up and use it to run off the animals of all types. I already declined the 45 -70 lol so I think he is pretty set on getting one just looking at options for ammo.
