hopefully I don't get blown up, but I tried keyword searching this thread for how to remove the hood. Can anyone help? I tried searching multiple threads and forums too, no dice. You tube mainly talks about removing just the scoop

Are you looking to do an even swap?

 

It is easy. 2 12mm IRCC bolts on each hinge securing it to the hood.

I recommend getting another person to hold side "A" while you remove the bolts and hold side "B". Lift off the hood prop, it will fall. Carry hood forward away from truck.

Reverse to install. If you choose to do it solo, it will be very difficult, mostly due to size and location.

just out of pure curiosity, since I see people doing a swap and adding up to 500 for a scooped hood. What is a scooped hood worth to most people just bought outright?

 

They run around 480 for the hood shell in primer grey, then you have about 2 hundred more for all the scoop parts. After all that you'll still need to have it painted.
