Anyone running rear hoops or gone through the bed yet? I’m looking at upgrading from my shock relocate with ford towers and 14” travel shocks to hoops and 16 or 18” travel ADS triple bypass shocks.

That’s just shock relocation. I’m looking for anyone running hoops through the bed.

That's badass. Thanks. I think I am going to try to avoid running the cage though to save on bed space.

You can't run a 16" shock without going through the bed
    (As far as I know)
So the biggest you can go at that point would be a 14" and even that would be pushing it in my opinion.

I retain 90% of my bed space with my set up and my set up is also completely bolt in (except for the SUA and new shock tabs,

The bed cage can be installed or removed with 4 bolts for servicing or paint.
And I kept all parts below the bed line so people driving past me don't see anything out of the normal

    And just to clarify something
If you want want a hoop that protrudes through the bed to house a bypass shock and you don't use a center connecting bar from one hoop to the other, you are gonna have a really bad time real quick

There is a reason the bed cages are all designed very similar
Cause where our rear portions of the frame are open C channel they flex substantially under heavy off-roading.
If you go and add a new heavy duty shock back there and don't brace it properly stuff is gonna break quite quickly

    THIS.

OP, not sure what you intend to achieve by having hoops through the bed...are you going to get an LT leaf pack? If not, then the stock hangers will only yield about 12 inches of functional travel...beyond that its just side flex for stuffed 14s. As caboose said, structurally you will break shit fast without a proper cage if you go through the bed with hoops. Stability and other concerns will be an issue right away or else guys with shocks through the bed like LT guys would have designed something by now if it were possible. If you are looking to stay soa...I would recommend getting the archive garage and stick with 14s as you wont gain much else besides the "cool" factor.

I was just reading that. Where did you get your bed cage from? I already have my lower shock tabs done since I did the 63 swap and shock relocation. I am upgrading to ADS 2.5 triple bypass and the Ford shock towers I have won't accommodate the 2.5's.

Well this is kind of interesting predicament that I stumbled across, glad to see you spread the knowledge!

Mine was custom made for me as I had the specific need of maintaining as much of my bed as possible and staying low profile. I wanted long travel suspension and still wanted utility use from my truck

Erik Moore of Moore metal works designed and fabricated it just for the sake of answering your question fully

But he doesn't do street trucks lmao
