For the first time probably ever I saw a properly lifted F250. Springs without spacers in the front full leaf pack with no blocks in the rear and reservoir kings all around.

But then he killed it with cockstars.

 

A rare find indeed, ruined by the wheels.

x2 those 4.7 are supposed to have timing belts replaced at 90k I think and I think most people replace the water pump while they are in there because that's about how log they are good for from what I gather.

 

The 4.7 V8 has a timing chain instead of a timing belt does it not?

 

via the internet, looks like the 2uz has a belt. my buddy had a 2000 tundra and I was pretty sure it did but then I had to double check... thanks a lot

Still not worth it. People need to quit being willing to pay that lol.

It's like folks saying a lifted truck with wheels and tires is majorly custom and worth 6k more because of it.

A 14 year old vehicle with ~200k miles should not be worth $7500.

 

High on the price, but I'll talk them down or not purchase it.

I agree, but that's the problem. What a 14 year old vehicle with ~200k miles is worth to you isn't the same as others. That's why vehicle worth is more less opinionated strictly due to what its worth to the person buying it. However, aftermarket crap and adding in regular maintenance ie: belts, plugs, brakes just replaced do not add value...much less, significant value to anything.

 

I sold my 12yo 4Runner (2002MY) with 280k on it, for $5k. The buyer still takes me out to lunch once in a while.

 

i wouldn't sell my truck for less and its 13 yo with 216k on the clock, and I wouldn't feel terrible for buying my truck for that. I gave 13k for it with 142k on it in 2011 (that was about 2k below book value at the time btw) obviously I have modified it severely and I am speaking hypothetically as if I had left it mostly stock, but I don't see over $1000 per yer on average of depreciation after the warrenty runs out on a Toyota.

 

well obviously everyone thinks their own vehicles is worth more.

you paid 13k for a 6 year old vehicle with 142k. so add 8 years of life, 50k miles (this being the 4Runner), and you think it's still worth 7500$? to each their own I guess, but the consumer is a big issue with vehicle prices.

 

this is also 4wd (and a v8) so... probably

 

So freaking pissed right now. Truck got towed this morning. I have parked in that same spot 1,000 times before and no problems. No one taking responsibility for calling the tow truck. I’m like you could leave me a freaking note.
