Haha hey man you can always do like I did. Before I got my 4x4 I still came to the meets. There’s always an open seat to ride along with others, plus you could assist being a spotter and picture taker haha.

It seems as though since this trip we will have a decent NC/SC showing now at AOP. Got a bunch of guys hooked!

That’s a good point. Would probably help me pick up lines better too.

But I checked my calendar and it’s looking like I’ll be on call that weekend so I may have to wait until the next one.

Have been looking at tacoma part outs all day and may have a 4x4 conversion coming along.

If you can find the FJC transfer case that makes it a lot easier not having to deal with the electronics of the tacoma transfer case and it's supporting stuff. Plus twin sticks for the MFW

Also it really isn't that hard of a conversion as others will make it out to be just time and the expense. On the 2nd gen for sale section there are a couple guys selling pre-assembled hub bearings for the 4wds which the bearings are a common failure to begin with. Then you can get axles from autozone or the like, the only thing you'll need from a salvage yard or someone else is the front diff, a FJ transfer case, and driveshafts. Misc. nuts and bolts which if you get the part#s you could order from toyota or if you have a pick a part near you you could score near about everything you'll need. There are some good write ups on the conversion and twin sticking the FJ t-case.

Go into the SAS section you may be able to score some parts there as well.

Yeah that’s the way I’m leaning. I would rather have sticks over electronics any day. Have a part out with 2/3 of the stuff I need if I can just hurry up and get some tax money back.

Well, I asked for them not to have any white showing around the edge. Guess I'll fix it later on.
    Something for the game room.

    Thx @PvilleJohn for the pic.

It's funny cause I didn't see that he tagged me in the SC thread when he got that pic. I was actually in hobby lobby having them frame that pic that he took.

I'm thinking of heading out here and camping end of Feb beginning of March anyone else down? Also found what looks like a cool place in GA called tray mtn. there are a couple other trails around there also would be a camping weekend there to far for a day trip.

I'm going to have to run this May 23rd when I am down in town. If any of y'all have that Wed-Thurs free I'd love to make it a wheeling/camping trip possibly.

Thanks for the info. I’m spending the weekend at Table Rock and we’ll probably checkout these trails. Any recent reports from this month?

I was already sub'd to this thread maybe we can get a few more. I'd like to see musterground though or explore some of the offshoots of the Chestnut Mtn rd. or get further than we did last time. If we have a smaller group I think that is much more easier to do.
