Haha I leave the rust proofing treatment on the frame until the next one lol but I may spray my leafs and coils with some kind of protection every now and then to keep them in shape!

 

So I am finally installing that sweet 2017 OR suspension I bought in Oct along with the 2” spacer @BravesTaco95 donated to the cause. I will be an SR5 OR before the end of the day like @TacomaCody

@Kemosabe what spacers did you have on your front suspension? And what condition are they in? I might be interested in those.

Do you have add a leaf in the rear?

 

Not yet. It will be added next. I have a block in the rear

 

So I've heard add a leaf with stock rear shocks is bad.... How bad are we talking?

 

I’ve changed my view on this, and will say it’s not bad. In an ideal situation, your leafs will be the limiting factor in downward droop, but I’m learning that’s usually not the case.

For example in the OME kit, the rear shocks aren’t any longer than stock, and they act as a limiting strap essentially. Using an AAL with stock rear shocks, the shocks will act as a limiting strap.

It’s not ideal, but I don’t think it will harm anything. Hell, my 5100 are the limiting factor for my rear end.

Seriously I couldn't tell. They were on the truck when I bought it, and they stayed there haha I will know when the struts will be off the truck, then I'll give it a power wash to see what's going on!

 

buy some cans of Krown K32, its a rust inhibitor/lubricant or they sell cans of Fluid Film at princess auto. first time I have ever seen fluid film in my life was just the other weekend and PA

as I was reading this, I was thinking to myself.... so my shocks are now my limiting factor lol great hahaha
