Very cool! And welcome to Tacoma World! You'll be spending money like crazy in no time! Lol. Luckily, a buddy of mine is the fleet manager at one of the Toyota dealerships here in AZ, so I think I got one of the first Cement long beds with premium/tech built. There were plenty of other colors allocated like mine earlier on, but there were only 2 of them in Cement built and allocated for our region at the time. It was a very long 4 month wait for me after I "ordered" it!!

Ok, so this was officially my first "mod" if you wanna call it that. AJT Designs Injection Fob. Took all of about 2 minutes to complete.

My DCLB with same options (but in MGM) was also built on 12/7 for Gulf States Region. In my region several of each color were allocated, and the sales manager thought i wanted cement when i told him grey. Clean truck

    Not much stock left.
@hellppy, spotted your rig on @JerryTaco’s build thread. Now I found yours. Great looking truck.

No joke on how this site cost a person an absurd amount of money. My ‘17 is barely a year old, and now I’m moving onto an ‘18 DCSB OR Cement orderd back in November. Build date was 1/25 with no delivery date yet. Lots of mods planned.

You AZ guys have all the nice Taco’s. Must be something in the air.

Thanks man! Haha, that's funny! I can't say I blame you though. When I heard they were bringing Cement to the TRD OR back in September, I had my buddy at Toyota "ordering" me one within hours. Can't wait to see what you do to yours!

So anyhow, yeah, it was all over for me when I came across @JerryTaco's build thread... I'm gonna blame it on him! haha. But to be fair, he's done a ton of work on my truck and helps out whenever he can. He installed my lift a couple weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. It's a totally different truck now!

Ok, so I'm just going to start from the beginning and work up from there. I don't have the best pictures because I wasn't really planning a build page, but for future mods, I'll be sure to get some good ones.

Anyhow, around August of 2017, I wanted a new truck and I knew that it would be another Tacoma. I had originally "ordered" the usual from my buddy at Toyota, Black TRD 4x4 Sport DCLB. The only problem was that they had no idea when the 2018s were coming out, and they pretty much had no information on them at all, so obviously I had to wait. In the meantime, allocation finally went through in September 2017 for my new truck... cool! Thanks to Tacoma World, I did a ton of research on the 2018s and found out a few things that would have pissed me off had I not been so excited to get a new truck and done my research.

    • The black for 2018 was Midnight Black Metallic. (Not a fan of metallic blacks. My 2008 was Black Sand Pearl and actually hated it although technically, not a metallic)
    • Toyota was bringing Cement over to the TRD Off-Road and TRD Sport
    • You could finally get factory leather seats in the Tacoma.

Within hours, I had changed my allocated "order" to the truck you see here. A Cement TRD 4x4 Off-Road DCLB with Premium Off-Road Package and Technology Package which included my leather trimmed seats that I'd wished they had done a long time ago. I added OEM all-weather floor mats and the TRD performance exhaust because I always do that anyhow. I didn't have to deal with all of the bullshit dealer add-ons or anything like that. Total MSRP came out to be $42,252.00 but I got it less than "invoice" cuz, well I know a guy. Allocation on this truck finally went through in early November with a build date for the week of December 11th. It actually got built on December 12th and was delivered to me on the 19th. This was 1 of 2 Tacomas in this configuration allocated for the Denver region, which for whatever reason, we're in. So it looks like I got one of the first ones like this. Merry X-mas to me!

Once I got word that my truck had been allocated, I started buying stuff for it! Once again, I did my research and knew exactly what I wanted to do for suspension, wheels and tires.

Meanwhile, as I'm waiting for my truck to be allocated and built, I had my 2012 for sale. I ended up finding some really cool guy that wanted to buy his 17 year old daughter a used Tacoma for Christmas. Nice gift for getting straight A's and a college scholarship! She specifically wanted a Tacoma because, why wouldn't she? He was willing to hold off on taking delivery until my new one was built. Thanks Jim!
