    Yeah, that's why they put me in the worst possible seat - to get more money out of me. I mean, there are 30-40 seats available for more money but the only one I can get for the regular fare is back of the bus. It borders on coercion. Unfortunately I'm flying for work (they pay) and seat "upgrades" are no bueno. I could pay myself but that would just stick in my craw and I would be on a slow burn for the entire time. I'll just hope the flights aren't full and move if they don't prevent it.

    I fly SW when possible as well. Unfortunately again, SW isn't the lowest fair (or the shortest flight time). Company has filters for fare differences and it would be a major pain to override it.
