Not sure if this is a repost but just saw this. I did not know the Tacoma had an airbag for your legs.

Does anyone know if the 2016s also have this airbag feature? Guess I could go look at my manual or knee area to see if it says airbags.

The Taco received a good btw..

I just vacuumed my truck yesterday and it is marked Airbag down on the knee bag, I assume the 16 has it too.

Yes The 16 has knee air bag. Did you notice that the Nissan and Colrado/Canyon don't have a knee air bag?

Yes, I saw those first and watched the knee area and that is what made me recognize the Toyota knee airbag. Thanks Toyota!!

Is it the same tranny they use on the Rogue? Because the Rogue trans craters between 70k-80k miles.

Good to see the Tacoma's frame and rear end lasted long enough for the crash test also. :D

Transmission problems with the cross contamination was pretty much fixed by the end of 2010 model year.

That looked like a pretty comfy stop in the Taco.... I'll need the knee air bags as my legs are long and I'd like to keep them that way... hehe

Crashing that Inferno one though.... That's just awful to watch..!!

Those things are crap LOL. At least the Nissan ones are. The guys at my Toyota dealership are not fans of the Corolla CVT.

Yes. There was a recall on some of them right out of the gate.

It's safe to say that you won't be coming in to work today if you wrecked any of these trucks like this.

Wifey's '11 Outback with ~120k has a CVT and odd as it is has been awesome. Took a bit of getting used to driving a "rubber band," but she gets 30mpg and have not had one issue. This engine and tranny still feels like they will easily go another 100k

Driving a rental Corolla right now. The way RPM is more related to throttle position than vehicle speed on a CVT is somewhat disorienting. It's a weird experience, especially when you're used to a manual transmission. On the upside, the 34 MPG is pretty nice... gas savings already covered two days of rental cost.
