The 10th is confirmed. Has been posted about on the Tyler Toyota Club FB as well to see about extra hands or if people want to stop by and such.

New tire going on and having them switch my spare tire on to the other front rim. So basically 2 new tires up front.

It doesn't matter to me. On my last car they would only put them on the front if I replaced 2 tires. I'll rotate how I see fit on my own.

*Edit: I'm an idiot, you are right. They usually put the new tires on the back.

No step up to the 285's (or 315's :D), yet?

Not yet. I only paid $38.75 to get the bad tire replaced and have my spare swapped on to front rim( :woot:for certs). I'll go to 285's or so when my other tires need replaced.

Nice! Can't beat that price for a new tire.

Yes it is. Its the first time I've ever bought certs for tires and will continue to buy them for all tire purchases for the truck. Well worth the small upfront cost with how much these tires cost.

Yeah, my $300 tires have $45 certs and won't make it to 50k miles. Just make sure to keep your alignment good or it will chew up a tire quick.

I was planning on taking it in for an alignment in the next week. I think its still good but since I have the Firestone lifetime alignment its worth having them check/adjust it to be sure.

I need to take mine in. Will likely change the UCAs this weekend and then bring it to them.

Change UCA's? Replacing with another UCA or just adjust the balljoints on your SPC's?

I'm hoping to make my tires last through Mega Run. I will replace after that, but before Jambo. Not sure if I'll stick with 285/75's or try out a set of 255/85. May also look at a different brand. I've had good luck with the Hankook MT's, but seems like the ST Maxx has been getting some high reviews lately. I should get better gas mileage with a skinny AT, too.

I'm going to try out a different tire next time also. No complaints with the KO2's but since they are the first off road tires i've ever had I want to try out others that get good reviews to find out what I like best. I'm debating going to an MT but I drive a lot so the shorter life makes me wonder if its the right choice. I've also only been stuck in mud 1 time with the AT's and even people with mud tires were getting stuck in the same spot. I'm not sure if I'll replace mine before Jambo. With thinking about going to Overland Expo again I'll have to see how much tread they have when planning that drive.

I really feel like the MT's saved my ass once at Bridgeport. I slid into a mud hole with water almost to my door handles. But like you, I do want to keep gas mileage as part of the decision. If I score another deal on lightly used MT's, I'll stick with them. Buying new, I might consider an AT with the road hazard certs.

I remember seeing that pic, reasons like that are why I'm debating MT's. I've only been stuck 1 time though so I'm now questioning if i really "need" MT's since I try not to get into those muddy situations. At least I've got some time to decide.

Try not to? Aren't you the same guy that kept driving forward and backward trying to get stuck at Bridgeport? Haha
