I know they're 7" wide, not too sure about the offset though... the fuel vapor wheels I have right now are -18 offset (with 265/70/17 duratracs) so they stick out quite a bit and I love the look, definitely going to have to go with spacers to get that stance + clear the uca (I do have light racing uca's though, might help a bit?)

I'm really leaning towards the 255/80/17 cooper discoverer s/t maxx, i'd rather not have to hack away to clear 285s just yet

That’s what I did for a while. It is true depending on how much you flex the front end. Your wheel that stick out more may cause you to rub on the fender. I just tucked with my wheels that were stock.

yeah I think the TRD wheels are closer to OEM wheels so ur probably would need spacers. I am running with 1.25'' wheel spacers just cuz I like the stance it gives. I'm going to step up to 285's tho, I like the look and its not that much cutting, CMC and slight trimming of inner finder, nothing close to what 35's need. maybe a little pinch weld mod. its nothing that will be noticeable to the naked eye or without sticking your head in the wheel well hahaha

Nice. Like that rim. If only they had more offset and backspacing options. 3.75-3.5 seem to be the sweet spot for 35’s. I would have loved some steelies but could find some at the price point, in 17’s (brake upgrade), and with the bs and offset.

what did you think of the skinny 255s? i'm honestly torn between 285/70/17 and 255/80/17... I don't mind getting a cmc done by somebody local, trimming the inner fender is okay too... i have bilstein 5100s at 0" on OME 887s

Be aware these 17" faux beadlocks are not TRD wheels, they are knockoffs made to the same style but in 17". Spec in the listing says 17x8 +15mm offset.

Toyota only offers this style in 16".

Yes they are knock-offs. Real ones are $325 each at Cochrane Toyota in Alberta: https://tacomatownonline.com/products/trd-pro-black-17x7-4

You won't notice a difference in quality, but the sizing is different: real ones are 17x7" with +4mm offset. If you want to run 285 tires, get the 8.5" wide knock-offs; the 7" real TRD wheels are too narrow.

shit i had no idea, thanks for the heads up :D knock offs it is, a lot cheaper! the 8.5" width is right at the max width for the cooper discoverer 255/80/17s (6.5-8.5") which should be fine. thanks for the help!!
