That's pretty fucking gnarly. Is he doing anything to beef up his axles?

besides gearing, not really. all of us are getting our spindles gussets on this weekend and we did a small group order for the cvj boots. Ill get to watch them wheel with the 37s before i make my decision

Yeah I'll be curious how they do in the longer term, since that seems like a whole lot of extra abuse on a lot of components. I think 35s is as big as I'll ever go on the tacoma, and I'll save 37s for if I ever get a buggy or something.

I love my soft shackles. Mine are Bubba Rope, but same idea. I haven’t unscrewed a D ring from my truck since I bought the soft shackles.

I think he even has two. I've probably used mine 10 times, and I'm super happy with it. One time we even linked two together since @ADV4R was deep in the shit

Yeah a normal strap is no good for most truck to truck recoveries, but are always good to have in the arsenal

I'm going to pretty much delete D rings from my truck. I'm having @Skell weld on some soft shackle mounts to my rear bumper instead of the d ring mounts. Might even do the same on the front.

    Soft shackles are pretty awesome

I was the same way! first time out wheeling I went with a buddy, and we only had a tow strap with those hooks on the end. He got stuck as shit, and I proceeded to break my strap trying to get him out. Luckily someone else came along and got him out of that water hole that was basically a lake.

Yeah i would be but i have 16s, so i would need to find 5 17in wheels. Not to say its impossible, but let me look around. Cant break the bank with the wheels either.
