    How can they justify speeding in bad weather? They dont expect everyone to go 25! At that point its kinda all up to the cop as to how to define speeding. He could have just not given you a ticket....what a dick

    From what I understand (at least this is true in Norfolk, VA) is if over a certain dollar amount of damage is done then a citation needs to be issued. At least that’s what happened to my friend who caused an accident once.

    so the NYS troopers out of the New Lebanon office are all a bunch of jerks and they just like writing people tickets for everything. There is one cool chick that rotates through there every now and then but yeah all the other guys are just a pain. Like they're there to write the accident report up and you didn't do any damage to another car or the road/guard rails so there's no reason to get a ticket. That's why its called inclement weather, random shit happens.

    Just say you were driving under the speed limit, a wind gust caused you to off the road and you couldn't correct in time or successfully because the shoulder and the edge of the driving lane wasn't plowed and salted correctly cause you to spin off the road into the tree. They should toss the ticket out then.
