Yeah panel is full due to the basement being finished, but we may convert the dryer to gas at the same time as the cook top. Dryer is right next to the garage, so that would actually be ideal.

Pancake breakers may be another option for you as well. Doesn’t really matter where the dryer is, you’d be running all new wire anyways (or should be)

Yeah, there is a brand new box of the flooring in the garage. Problem is the flooring is going two different directions. Which I could either use the little cap at the bottom of the picture to transition or I can use 6" wide tile as the transition. Going to replace the two pieces in the picture that are cut short and straighten out all the other pieces .

If you had enough you could patch it into the floor on the left side and make it end at the vertical piece on the right.

Depending on how it's fastened to the floor (if at all) will determine how much of a pain that'd be.

Not fastened to the floor at all. I was thinking that but I don't think my skills are good enough to make it end perfectly at the vertical side. I also think it might look a little weird with no transition piece since there used to be a wall as the transition.

A small handful of select mods.
I removed a wall in our house and had an opening like that. I put a decorative tile run down the opening. Small rectangles with some glass pieces in them. They say to never put glass tile on the floor but with it being a smallish strip I have never had an issue.

Difference though with mine its the thick wood strip that is all nailed in place so no movement like the floating floor you have there.

Are you looking for a temporary solution just to get it to look decent for now or is this going to remain your permanent floor for the next how ever many years?
