I’ll gladly take them and put them to use. I’ll even get some welding practice with them but it wouldn’t be a priority.

I read a shit ton about this before giving them to him lol, a lot of those peeps who were snapping them were “just sending it” but there was lots who have never had problems and didnt preheat. I started a 3 page argument about preheat vs non preheat in the what have you done to your 1st gen thread. I heard everyones opinions, im not gonna launch my truck in the air but it should help add some strength for the rocks...nor bring that topic up again in that thread lol

Just my two cents but the”Spindles”are Cast Steel.Should be mild wired and TIG welded with heavy “Preheat” for proper penetration.

Use lower heat with TIG welding since preheating the spindles will be very hot.If you TIG weld the spindles a beveling helps as well for more “DIG” penetration.

You can obviously now and have been with the advantage of technology “MIG” weld but use a THICKER wire for sure after preheating.

My memory of this is refreshed from back in the school days as well as learning stuff from my dad before i was even interested in learning WELDING.

I don't see why they wouldn't be. I don't think @desertjunkie760 needs 2 sets other than to practice welding on them. You need your truck back to stock to sell it right?

    Thank you!

Nah, selling it with my spindles, wheels, tires and lights.
Putting stock suspension on otherwise. I have some 3rd gen struts, shocks and leaf springs, also kept my stock UCAs.

I'll need a spare set of spindles in the future though :spy:

Fingers crossed the 10th-11th I'll get my good parts off. Then it's cleaning the fuck out of everything like ten times, taking pictures and listing her.

@Nicklovin what's carmax willing to pay for a pristine never wheeled or broken taco?
