@EddyRRT a litttttle smaller scale but this was my life in college. Fully custom built race car we would build every year for formula SAE. 600CC Honda F4I bike motor. I did powertrain so was responsible for designing and fabricating everything that powered and propelled the car.

Then did some graduate work for Edelbrock through Clemson ICAR on a 555CI engine in a camaro.

Also what oil pan / system are you running? Assuming you're running a 5.3 in there because... they're everywhere and easy to get!

What's his name? We made a few trips a year to Roush Yates engines in NC because our advisor used to work for them before he became a professor at ICAR.

    It's all stock, from yes a 5.3.

Right now I'm having the debate either I time-sert the block for the starter bolts or drill and tap for a bigger size.

Next problem at the moment. #2 injector is dumping fuel. I replaced it Monday night idk about 1 am.

Came in yesterday and worked till 5 . Had to go swap out my bad starter. Hooked it back up. Turned the fuel pump on for the hell of it. And bitch still dumping fuel

Is it dumping fuel out of the o-ring at the top of the injector or dumping it into the motor? The fuel rails on those motors are known for being kind of shitty depending on the year.

Did the starter bolts pull the threads out? I would time sert or heli-coil before going bigger. If done right you’ll never have another issue.

Don’t skimp on the oil pan / system setup. Those motors don’t like long periods of off camber or straight up or down. They starve for oil and will spin the bearings. Look for a either a good baffled pan with an accumulator or go big and get yourself a dry sumo. Either way I would give yourself a big warning light for low oil pressure besides just a gauge.
