    Last year I've been getting into bourbons. Having a pour or two on a Friday night has become routine for me to unwind from the week. Right now I'm drinking Woodford Reserve I got as a birthday present from my FIL. Basil Hayden is my 'cheap-ish' go to.

    You've got different standards than I do, lol. My cheap/mixing bourbon is Jim Beam white label, since you can get a handle for $20 at the NH liquor store :laugh:

    For good stuff I'll usually go with Whistle Pig, Bulleit, etc. unless I'm feeling really rich.

    Well it's not really a shooter...it's more of a sippin' whisky.
    Drink it at room temperature, with a splash of water for the best flavors/smells.

    Edit- you can add an ice cube or two if you want, but it's really at its best at room temp.

    I'm not a fan of shooting liquor anymore - I prefer enjoying the taste. If it's like JW Black I can shoot it but I hate myself for shooting makers or anything good.
    My current new score is a Hibiki 17... I have only had like a few sips of it and it's fantastic. My go to is Makers or that aged stuff that I do using the makers...

    Sounds like we need a whiskey meet...
