Have we decided on a date for February mod day? I pulled the trigger on a OME AAL. So I'll need to put that in and then raise my front suspension as well. This weekend I'll finally be putting in that relay box I made last year :woot:So If anyone needs any electrical work and doesn't mind driving to Olivette, PM me for details.

Lake St. Louis area. Sorry I don’t get on here as often as I used to. Something about studying and crap...
Actually, I’ve noticed a metallic clunk under my truck when I turn in reverse. Need to investigate further but at the moment I have no idea what the heck it is.

@MO Tacoma - what size rims are you running? That guy was using 20", but he wasn't quite sure if 17" would fit. I'd probably be risking it with 16", but it'd be good to know. I think the OEM spare is 16", so it's probably worth knowing just in case.

There hasn't been any talk of Feb's mod day yet. Might be the first one I miss in awhile with moving and the baby coming.

How does February 24th sound to everyone?

Do you want to use the trailer? I think you told me but I forgot.

If it's I high pitched sound then it could be the retaining pins for the brake pads. I've had it for a while. Annoying. If it's lower pitched then I'd look at u-joints. Just a good place to start.

I run 17"s and the factory wheels for the Lexus had options 17" on up. 16" wheels definitely will not work. With my offset it shouldn't be a problem.

It’s a lower clunk, I was thinking U joints or LCA bolts need tightening. I think my CV boot needs replaced as well sadly, as it’s been throwing grease even after I put a hose clamp on it. Hoping it hasn’t thrown all the grease out and that the clunk is a bad cv joint. That would suck.
I might take you up on the help though, depending on what needs to be done. Thanks

I've passed this truck before. Remember the wheels and baby decal.

Hope I can make it out to mod day. if my dumb ass can't figure out how to piece my poor truck back together I'll definitely be there to get it done. Looks simple though, so I might survive.

Came out from class to find this.
Tie rod boot somehow popped off. Add that to my list of things to address along with the clunk sound I keep hearing.
Tried to shove it back on. I'm so an auto shop seeing if they'll have more luck

I'm not knocking the zip tie method of securing it...but maybe something stronger to hold it on there.
