2010 4.0 Blown Motor (What parts should keep?)

I haven't paid attention to where the oil cooler hoses go, but whatever is on the other end of the hoses may also be needed for the cooler.

 

Well, if you off-road, you probably shouldn’t. I have a fumoto valve without nipple, and it doesn’t stick past the skid plate or crossmember to have anything hit it (it’s about 2 inches in).

 

Pressure wash the block and turn it into a glass top man cave coffee (beer) table?

 

Please post this in the oil forums where people rave about these things

Those stupid fumoto valves suck. If the op would've invested a few bucks into a 14mm wrench this could've been avoided.

Note to self: remove nipple on Fumoto.

I'll just screw it in when it's oil change time and attach the hose. I do like the mess reduction properties of the Fumoto with a hose on it.

But i still wouldnt buy the fumoto with the nipple

 

Remove the timing cover, crank pulley, coolant return on the rear of the heads, valve covers, sensors, oil fill with oil cooler, coolant manifold that plastic t-stat bolts to(integral for the oil cooler), 6 port lower intake plenum which is between the heads.

 

Also, keep the upper and lower oil pans.

 

OP, keep the Fumoto valve so you can use it on the new engine. Discard the rest.

I love my Fumoto valve. There's a reason why I chose the model without the nipple. A real skid plate is key too. Not to say crazy shit can't happen.

It actually takes longer with a Fumoto.
